However, you can bypass him by going down into the sewers via the path on the left around the side of the hall. There are still Ganado here looking for you, and going left will cause one to alert his friends. Head through the deserted Town Hall and back into the Village Square. Along with some new barrels that have appeared to break, you should also note a brand new Merchant Request - A Savage Mutt.īacktracking - The Village Chief’s Manor and Savage Mutt Sell any new treasure you’ve gained since the last encounter, and tune up any weapons you need to increase your damage output or other important aspects. The good news is that once you run through the small valley to the Merchant, the Ganado behind you won’t follow. ![]() Again, since many will sprout tentacles, try to slow them down with leg shots rather than killing outright, and be wary of the Ganado by the exit gate, as he will throw molotovs to damage Ashley and yourself. It’ll be very hard to escape unnoticed, but you can at least creep forward down a path until spotted, then make a run for it. Leaving through the cemetery, there’s several patrolling Ganado milling around each path. ![]() Unlike the classic Resident Evil 4, you won’t be able to improve her health, but on the plus side she won’t be hit very often unless you move her too close to hazards. If hit, she’ll fall to the ground and need to be picked up - but if she’s hit again in this state, it’s game over. However, the scythe tentacles have a nasty habit of hitting her when sweeping around, and you should try to make sure she stays far away from them. They can also damage her - though this is mostly indirect as very few will actively target her in an attempt to attack rather than grab. The Ganado can and will try to grab her and carry her off with them, and you’ll have to keep pace and shoot them to make them drop Ashley - but avoid striking her by accident at all costs, or its Game Over. Sticking Close is useful for situations like this where you’ll probably run and gun, and make a beeline for getting away, but if you need to stand and fight somewhere, asking her to keep her distance will help her not get in harm’s way. You can’t outright ask her to stay in one place, but there are certain scenarios where you can find temporary hiding spots for her (this is not one of those times). Due to the fact that many of them will sprout parasite tentacle heads, they can be a real pain to take down efficiently, especially when you have Ashley to worry about.Ĭommanding Ashley has two main functions - Sticking Close, or Keeping Distance. You can in fact engage the Ganado here, and you’ll likely have to fight a few of them to some extent no matter what your plan is, but the group is quite sizeable (and the ones in the church will come running out to help). Wait for two to pass by, and then stay crouched as you move out the gate. Quickly silence her with your knife, then slink away against the left wall as more Villagers move to enter the church to look for you. Leave the side room in a crouch and you should spot a Villager woman chanting with her back to you. ![]()
